Andy came to site and demonstrated the product in his mobile showroom which is great. Andy then angreed to supplier annd fit the new roller shutter within 4 weeks which he has done today! Decided to get a few quotes for a new garage door, Andy was the first and last person I needed to quote me. The mobile showroom is such a good idea, no hard selling techniques just black and white facts and figures. The install team accompanied by Andy and Margaret were fantastic and super speedy, the handover was precise. I could not recommend highly enough!!

Andy popped round for the quote which surpassed expectations so much so, the 2 other appts I had booked in with competitors, I cancelled. Andy has a van that has been fully set up to give full demos on the different doors available. The doors they offer are by far superior to others. The door took around 4 weeks to come from the day I ordered. When the guys arrived on fitting day, they were done from start to finish in under 2 hours. Left no mess and took the old door and parts away with them. I even over paid by mistake and within 10 minutes they had driven back and returned my money. Overall very happy with the quality of the product and the service provided. Very honest, family run company. Don’t even bother with the large mass market companies. Would highly recommend. We’ve just had our new garage doors fitted by Andy and his team from Fortress Doors and have been left very impressed throughout the process. The quality of the installation and eye to detail shows how conscientious Andy is about his work. Our garage is part brick and part wood and the way he inserted black panels to bridge the gap to new door frames was done so neatly. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fortress Doors to our friends and family, great service at a very competitive price!

Had my new 77 Roller Door fitted this week and am well impressed with it. Andy came out originally to measure up and demonstrate working models set up in his company van and the quality of them. He was excellent and not pushy in trying to get a sale and his price was very competitive. When the team arrived to fit the door ( On Time) they were very professional polite and helpful and they take your old door away with them. Would have no problem recommending Fortress Doors Colchester at anytime. Well done Andy and the team for an excellent job from start to finish.

Andy came to see us and discussed our options. Incredibly helpful and came back several times to be sure as we had a slightly more difficult task than most. Measurements were taken and then double checked and I’m happy to say that an incredible job was done by the guys on the day. My garage has so much space now and is more usable than ever. I’m really glad we chose Fortress Doors. Update – I’ve now added a Somfy hub to my home network which allows me to control my garage door using my Google Smart speakers. They have a great feature requiring a pin code so that people can’t just shout in your window to a speaker and open the garage. Can’t recommend enough! Thanks to Andy and the guys!

We received a brilliant service from Fortress Doors from the very well demonstrated initial visit through to the installation and beyond. The installation was very tidy, on time and hassle free. We did have an issue a few weeks after installation as the door got stuck in open position but they came over the very next day to fix the problem. We had closed the door manually so it wasn’t left open overnight. Always very helpful with replacement remote batteries and communications etc. Thank you for a lovely door!

My second reviews for Fortress Doors. Andy and his team expertly installed my door last year, sadly it developed a minor fault. I contacted Andy and he replied straight away to ensure me it would be sorted and indeed it was and very quickly. Their Salesman, Andy, was very pleasant and informative. He was not at all pushy but answered all the questions my partner raised. Based upon our garage door requirements he suggested various products that would be suitable. Decision made we placed our order and he said installation would proceed in 4 weeks time once the door had been made to our specifications. Our door was installed 4 weeks later by an excellent team of friendly fitters and instruction given on its operation. We are delighted with our purchase and thoroughly recommend this company

We cannot rate Andy and his team at Fortress highly enough: we had a roller door fitted in the summer….a first class service! However we had a problem on a Saturday evening. We contacted Andy that evening and he came out to us first thing on Sunday morning (in the cold and rain too!). The roller had come off some clips…we suspect because our builders had closed the door and there was an obstruction. Andy and his team fixed it within 10 minutes. Thanks so much for coming out and fixing it for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Fortress for their great after sales service!

I had an Essati garage door which had been on Rogue traders and was having problems with it. Fortress doors were the ONLY people who would come out to it. I felt happy with the gentleman who arrived. He was concise, leavel headed and subsequently I decided to replace the door as I have health issues. The door was ordered and true to his word he contacted me the week he promised to. The people arrived to fit the door and were very professional. Very tidy and very organised. I would not hesitate to recommend these people. I am not in the habit of leaving reviews but felt it deserved the write up.

You’re in safe hands with Andy and his team. I had to get my door fitted to a tight schedule and Andy pulled it out of the bag. The door works brilliantly for the 6 months it’s been fitted without any major issues. It’s needed to be adjusted since install, but Andy was on site a couple of hours after calling and sorted it out. Customer service as it should be. The quote I received for my 3.5m wide door was mid-range for the enquiries I made with other companies, however the great feedback and Andy’s personality won me over and I’m pleased to say I feel I’ve still made the right choice. 5* from me 👍
